Creation and performances of a new solo dance: Only Slighthoven knows what I'm glowing at...

During August 2024 I created and rehearsed a new dance piece at the Pavilion Carre de Beaudouin, 121 rue de Menilmontant, 75020 Paris.  The gallery were holding an exhibition of the work of photographer Frederic Stucin and I was able to enter the gallery each day and rehearse.

The piece I created was about the relationship and interface between pre-set choreography and live composition in performance. Themes that emerged were about the golden patterns and sparkles that were in the parquet flooring and my previous life as a mermaid... 

Mike Vargas kindly gave me permission to use two of his tracks - Fog and Chickadee -

and I danced to Song of the Siren by This Mortal Coil.

 

Performances of the piece were on 7th, 14th, 21st September at the gallery. 

I performed the solo for Escale at Studio Chandon 280 rue Lecourbe, 75015 Paris on 6th October.
